The signs of revival in the fortunes of the steel industry, both globally and domestically, has brought cheer to a largely neglected industry — ferro alloys — whose fortunes are inextricably linked with that of steel. Ferro alloys are used as additives and de-oxidising/de-sulfurising agents in steel manufacture. Ferro manganese and ferro silicon are used by alloy steel producers, while ferro chrome and charge chrome are used by stainless steel units.

Based in the eastern states of Jharkand and West Bengal, well known for their rich natural resources, Shivam Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. is one of the leading manufacturers, exporters and suppliers of Ferro Manganese, Silico Manganese, Billets, TNT Bars, etc. with a monthly production capacity of 2000 metric tonnes. Through innovative and sophisticated technological developments, we have been able to develop and manufacture critical grades of alloy and related products to meet stringent requirements of customers both in India and abroad.
Few of our major clients include Stemcor Ferrowalloys, Glencors and Mitsui. We have an export percentage of 80%. We are an affiliated member of the prestigious Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC) and the Export Credit Guarantee Corporation.

Our company Shivam Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. of the renowned Shivam Group, is a well-diversified business entity with significant presence in the core sector areas of steel and ferro alloys. The group is a conglomeration of Shivam Iron & Steel Co. Ltd., Satyam Iron & Steel Co. Ltd., Satyam Ferro-Tech Ltd. and Shundaram Ferro Tech Pvt. Ltd. The group primarily deals in MS Steel Ingots, MS TMT Bar, MS Angles, MS Channels, MS Flats, Steel Billets, Ferro Manganese, Silico Manganese, Ferro-Silicon, Coal Based DRI (Sponge Iron), Pig Iron and Coke Oven Battery.
As part of the modernization of the manufacturing facilities for achieving consistency of product quality to ensure full customer satisfaction both in domestic and international markets, the Group plans to put another coal based DRI plant at Jamuria- West Bengal and also to put re-rolling mill to produce heavy structurals at Raniganj - West Bengal. Besides this, we are also planning to acquire land at Orissa in a SEZ notified by the Govt. of Orrisa to set up another bulk Ferro Alloys Plant.

The company's entire range of activities such as ferro alloys production, related items and all other commercial activities are as per international standards including ISO 9001:2000. In fact, we are committed to producing quality products and, in doing so, we always meet the requirements of not only our customers but also the requisite statutory and regulatory requirements. In order to ensure premium quality of all our products, we import about 70% of the raw materials required like manganese ore and coking coal from select reputed suppliers.
